PETG Filament combines the advantages of both ABS and PLA filaments. It is a lightweight material with excellent toughness and heat resistance. PETG filament also has good layer adhesion and some flexibility. PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified) is a very strong, water-resistant thermoplastic with a lovely shine. PET is a well-known plastic because it is primarily used in the manufacture of soda bottles. PETG printing is nearly as simple as PLA printing and requires only a little more effort. Because the bonding with itself is so strong, the first layer should be squished as much as PLA, or else the material will blob around the nozzle and ruin your print.
